Unchangeable throughout the centuries.

The ancient Greek pots were manufactured to serve people’s daily needs and for this reason pots came in lots of different shapes each of which had a different use and of course a different name.

Amphora for the transportation and preservation of wine

Crater for the mixing of wine with water.

Lecythos oil flask a pot where oil was stored.

Reta Pots in the shape of an animal head which were usually used as
Wine-glasses in libations and feasts.

And many others for various uses.

The old Greek pots constitute the largest preserved art gallery on ancient civilization and this is owing to their material which once tempted in fire
Can not be destroyed in time.

The most well Known pots are the * melanomorpha* ones on which the figures are in dark colour. The *erythomorpha* ones on which the figures are clay coloured and the background is black and finally the white one which are manufactured for special reasons due to their delicate tomp use.
